Drawing from the wealth of music and poetry about winter, the solstice, and the holidays, this concert will feature dynamic choral arrangements of popular songs by beloved artists such as Fleet Foxes, Carol King, and Dolly Parton, alongside breathtaking music from well-known choral composers (Randall Thompson, Ēriks Ešenvalds) and new voices in choral music (Melissa Dunphy and Georgia Stitt). Interposed with the music, audiences will hear reflections and poetry on the beauty of new beginnings from the likes of Robert Frost, Ogden Nash, Mary Oliver, Amy Gerstler, Margaret Atwood, and Joseph Campbell.
